Tea Bodices were worn to “take Tea” which often meant an afternoon of visiting. Tea Bodices were designed to “be seen”  and thus were fancier and more formal. The bodice has a fitted front that falls to a point over the waistband of your skirt, a peplum back, a jewel neckline and pagoda sleeves. The sleeves and peplum are designed to be trimmed with a self-fabric, pleated ruffle. The bodice can be fastened with your choice of three optional closings. A very dressy, flattering style that does not cut the wearer in half, like bodices that are attached to the skirts can.  This is a good bodice for longer-waisted women.  It is a style that can be worn by all ages.

The bodice is designed to be worn with detachable collars and sleeve jockeys.  (TSA-Sleeve Jockeys ad Cuffs and TSA-502 Chemisettes ad Collars).

Combine with a Timeless Stitches skirt pattern to create a perfect day dress or basic work dress. (TSS-201 Double Opening Skirt, TSS-202 Gauged Skirt and TSS-203 Gored Skirt all work well.)
